Knowing Before You Start Your Grant Application
Considering that many small business owners have experienced grants through the US Small Business Administration (SBA), there is quite a level of interest in grants for small businesses, especially following the COVID-19 Pandemic.
However, while the interest from small business owners is high, it is important to know what grants are, what they are not, and how to go about applying for a grant, before you choose one of the avenues below. We covered this in a previous article, which you can find here.
Grants are out there. Which grants should small business owners consider first?
The team at BRP Onesta regularly curates’ small business grants. However, continually we are asked by small business owners which grants to apply for. There are literally hundreds if not thousands of grants out there. So, in our endeavor to review and post grant opportunities, we decided to grade the grants.
Grades are set by the following criteria: 1) ease of application, 2) availability of grant funds, 3) independent review process, and 4) strength of the organization providing the grant funds.
